The Japan Association for the 2025 World Exposition (hereinafter referred to as “the Association) and the Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan Master License Office (hereinafter referred to as the “2025MLO”) are pleased to announce the opening of five new Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan Official Stores in April 2024 one year before the opening of Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan (hereinafter referred to as “the Expo”). This brings the total number of official stores in Japan to 12 (including the official online store).

The five newly opened official stores include the first store in Hokkaido (MARUZEN & JUNKUDO Sapporo store) and the first in Fukuoka Prefecture (JUNKUDO Fukuoka store), as well as a newly opened store in Osaka. By opening official stores not only in the Kansai and Tokyo metropolitan areas but also in Hokkaido and Fukuoka Prefecture, we aim to create opportunities for people who have not had a chance to experience the Expo to become interested in the event, thereby further fostering momentum throughout Japan.

In addition, limited time pop-up stores will open in “Daimaru Tokyo Store” and “JR Kyoto Station West Gate Store”. Each store plans to hold events to celebrate the opening and the appearance of the official character MYAKU-MYAKU, as well as to release new officially licensed products.
