最終更新 2024.09.03 2024.06.20 Announcement of Information on Events at Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan (Part 2): Dates of National Days of 31 Countries and date of “Japan Day (3 July)” released

 National Days and Special Days by the Official Participants (foreign governments and international organisations that have confirmed their participation in the Expo) and a wide variety of events which will allow visitors to feel the excitement and fun of learning and discovery will be held at Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan (hereinafter referred to as “the Expo”).
 The Japan Association for the 2025 World Exposition (hereinafter referred to as “the Association”) is pleased to announce as the second instalment of information about events at the Expo. Of the 161 countries/regions and 9 international organisations that have officially announced their participation, we have been authorised to release the dates of the National Days and Special Days of 131 countries and 4 international organisations including approval of publication from 31 countries since the previous release (9 April,2024), as well as the date of “Japan Day” on 3 July, 2025.

▷ About National Days and Special Days National Days and Special Days are days to honour the participation of the Official Participants. They will be held to deepen the understanding of the culture of the Official Participants and to contribute to the promotion of international goodwill. Distinguished guests and Expo visitors from Japan and overseas will be invited by the Official Participants to attend the ceremonies and cultural events.

▷ About Japan Day
Japan Day is Japan’s National Day. It will be held on 3 July, 2025. Details of the programme are under consideration by the government and will be released when they have been confirmed.

*On the same day, some other events will also be held at the Expo venue, such as the “Japan Annual-International Art Festival”, an event where visitors can enjoy exhibitions based on Japanese contemporary art and traditional crafts, traditional performing arts, and chants by monks from famous temples), “Smile for the World project with sweets”, an event that will make visitors smile through Japanese sweets, allowing them to see, touch, and enjoy nostalgic sweets such as rice puffs, candy, etc., modern sweets, and futuristic sweets, and “Bamboo lights × Shooting star”, an event to collect the wishes of young people from around the world and place them on bamboo lights with a shooting star motif.

▷ Other Events
Various events such as Music Events, Stage Events, Festivals (“Matsuri”), Sports Events, Exhibitions, Seminars/Presentations, Ceremonies, etc. will be held at Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan. We have obtained permission to announce 202 events, since the previous release. (9 April, 2024). For more details, please refer to the link below.
