Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan will feature a Virtual Expo where people from all over the world can participate with their own devices (e.g. computers and smartphones).
The Virtual Expo is now accepting the second round of applications to hold a “Vertual Event” at the event space within the Virtual Expo site. Virtual Expo is an application that allows event organisers to showcase the content they have created and distribute it to people all over the world in the event halls.

Application Details
Applications are open to both stand-alone virtual events and events which will be held at both the real and virtual venues. For more information, please see the Events Organised by the General Public page.
1.Application Period
Second Round of Applications for ‘Events Organised by the General Public’.
Third period: 1 September – 30 September 2024
Fourth period: 1 October – 31 October 2024
Fifth period: 1 November – 30 November 2024
Sixth period: 1 December – 31 December 2024
* Applications will close once all available slots at each facility are filled.
2.Types of general public events
Events of various forms and genres are invited.
* Please organise events that can be viewed and participated in by the general public or general visitors.
(Events for viewing and participation by parties concerned only cannot be organised).
3. Application procedure
Those wishing to participate must download “Entry Sheet” and “Proposal Document” from “Events Organised by the General Public page” and refer to “Submission Method” stipulated in “Entry Sheet”.
4.How to stage a virtual event
Rich content such as 3D content, 2D video, 8KVR, Volumetric Video, motion capture, etc. can be used in a variety of formats for staging in the Virtual Expo space.

5.Cost of organising a virtual event
Please note that the production and operational costs of organising the event are to be borne by the applicant. Please refer to the ‘Provider and Price List for Virtual Expo Event Facilities’ for information on the costs required to organise a virtual event.
