Six Months to Go Events Also to Be Held Tokyo, Nagoya and Osaka

The Japan Association for the 2025 World Exposition (hereinafter referred to as “the Association”)  will hold the “Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan Visit Date and Time Booking Kick-off Event – Six months to go!” on Sunday, 13 October, 2024, six months before the opening of Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan (hereinafter referred to as “the Expo”),
The event will feature performances by special supporters HELLO KITTY and KUMAMON, ABE Hifumi, and ABE Uta (Judokas), and the official mascots of the 2005 World Exposition, Aichi, Japan, Morizo and Kiccoro. In addition to the performances from the above, a talk session will be held with special supporter HARUNA Ai and guests YUCHAMI, YUICHAMI and others, who will talk about the Expo in a fun way and answer questions. The event will be live-streamed to the general public via the Association’s official YouTube channel.
Various other events and other activities will also be held in Tokyo, Nagoya, and Osaka to further build momentum for the Expo.
In addition, information on the schedule of events and participation programmes to be held throughout Japan has been posted on the Association’s official website. We hope that many people will take part in these events and help to boost the excitement in the six months leading up to the opening of the Expo.

■ Special Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan Wrapping on JR Yamanote Line to be specially
A special AD train (chartered advertising train) on the Yamanote Line will be fully decorated with Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan advertising inside and out.

▽The E5 Series Shinkansen trains that operated on the Tohoku and Hokkaido Shinkansen lines will be wrapped in an Expo design, with the cooperation of East Japan Railway Company.

■　Meitetsu Department Nagoya Flagship Store’s “Nana-chan” doll to be decorated in Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan style!
Nana-chan is a giant doll in front of the Meitetsu Department Nagoya Flagship Store flagship store in Nagoya, which is loved as the face of Nagoya Station and used as a meeting spot. She will wear an Expo site service attendant staff uniform from Wednesday 2 October to Tuesday 15 October, six months before the opening of the Expo.
On 2 October, the first day of unveiling, MYAKU-MYAKU, the official character of the Expo, will make an appearance, as will YAMADA Tomiyo, aka “Expo Grandma” who lives in Seto City, Aichi Prefecture, and HATTORI Mariko, who designed the uniforms for the venue service attendant staff, who will speak about their thoughts on Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan and its attractions.

■　Amemura EXPO -６months to go to Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan! –
To build momentum for the Expo, an event will be held in Amerika-mura, the centre of youth culture in Kansai, to provide an opportunity for young people in their teens to thirties, who are active on social media, to transmit their messages on social media.
Live performances and dance shows by dance and vocal groups popular among young people will be held across the Amerika-mura area, centred on Shinsaibashi BIGSTEP and Triangle Park, as well as Expo-themed graffiti art and other events. We will be spreading the word about the Expo from Amerika-mura to create excitement among the younger generation!

The show features MYAKU-MYAKU, the official character of the  Expo, the tagline ‘Towards a brighter future for all’, and the catchphrase ‘EXPO2025 Where fun exceeds your imagination!’The drone show will depict more than 10 scenes in the night sky. (Open to the public)

This event will be held six months before the opening of the Expo and will include a premium talk by AHN Mika, live performances by KODA Kumi Koda and BALLISTIK BOYZ, and more.
