The Japan Association for the 2025 World Exposition (hereinafter referred to as “the Association”) is pleased to announce that it has signed a Publicity and Promotion Sponsorship Agreement (PR Partner) with Hieizan Railway Co., Ltd. (Shiga).
Following the conclusion of the agreement, Hieizan Railway Co., Ltd. will operate two cable cars with different original Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan (hereinafter referred to as “the Expo”) design headmarks from 1 November 2024 (Friday) to boost the momentum for the Expo. This will be the first time that the Expo original design will be displayed on a cable car.
■ The Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan original design headmark will be displayed on the following cars:
2 cars (Car 1 ‘En-go’ and Car 2 ‘Fuku-go’) on the Sakamoto Cable Line

Friday, 1 November 2024 – October 2025 (planned)
