The Japan Association for the 2025 World Exposition (hereinafter referred to as “the Association”) is welcoming eight young trainees from six ASEAN (The Association of Southeast Asian Nations) countries on Monday, 11 November 2024, in order to contribute to the development of human resources in ASEAN countries for the organisation of international events.
As a cooperating organisation for “Training Program on International Events for ASEAN countries” implemented by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry , the Association will host trainees during preparations for Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan (hereinafter referred to as “the Expo”), which will open in April 2025. This program will provide training opportunities for future international event organisers to acquire know-how and skills needed to host future international events.

Program overview
■ Training period: Thursday, 31 October, 2024 to Monday, 17 March 2025
*The Association will host the trainees from Monday, 11 November 2024 to the middle of March 2025
■ Training place: The Association for Overseas Technical Cooperation and Sustainable
Partnerships (AOTS)’s Kansai Training Centre (KKC)
The Japan Association for the 2025 World Exposition’s office
■ Trainees: 8 trainees recommended by their home countries
(Indonesia, Cambodia, Philippines, Vietnam, Malaysia, and Laos)

・On-the-job training at the Japan Association for the 2025 World Exposition
・Training on basic knowledge and management methods required for planning and running international events, etc.
