Take photos with Pokémon at the site! You can meet Pikachu and its friends!
The Japan Association for the 2025 World Exposition (hereinafter referred to as “the Association”) is pleased to announce that The Pokémon Company (Tokyo) will hold events where visitors can enjoy Pokémon GO at the Expo site every day during Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan (hereinafter referred to as “the Expo”).
Various Pokémon will appear when visitors play Pokémon GO at the Expo site. Using the AR Snapshot function in the Pokémon GO app, GO Snapshot visitors can enjoy taking photos with Pokémon. In addition, several Pokémon 3D photo spots will be set up at the Expo site. The 3D photo spot locations will become PokéStops in the Pokémon GO app and you will be able to encounter event-themed Pokémon and other rare Pokémon in the vicinity of these spots.
While exploring the Expo, which has the theme “Designing Future Society for Our Lives,” visitors can encounter Pokémon and enjoy valuable experiences and memories that can only be had at Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan while playing Pokémon GO.
Period: Sunday, 13 April 2025 to Monday, 13 October 2025
Venue: Specified area at the Expo site
Contents:
■ Event-themed Pokémon and rare Pokémon will appear.
Example: Pikachu, Snorlax, Meowth, Unown(E), Unown(X), Unown(P), Unown(O)
■ 3D photo spots featuring Pokémon will be set up in several locations around the Expo site.
Visitors can take photos with Pokémon using the AR Snapshot feature, GO Snapshot in Pokémon GO.
■ Photo spots and other locations around the site will be turned into Pokéstops where visitors will be able to encounter the aforementioned Pokémon.

■ An admission ticket is required to enter the Expo site. For more information on admission tickets, please see the Expo’s official website.
■ When playing Pokémon GO, please pay attention to your surroundings and follow the laws and policies of the national and local authorities.
■ This event may be cancelled, or the content may change. Please check the official Pokémon website etc. for the latest information.
■ No special registration is required to participate in this event. Simply open Pokémon GO at the Expo site to participate.

Special Supporters are a group of supporters of Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan, made up of people, groups, characters, etc. with many fans that can use their influence to convey the appeal and philosophy of the Expo.
The Japan Association for the 2025 World Exposition will continue to increase the number of people interested in the Expo by having various people join as Special Supporters.
