The Japan Association for the 2025 World Exposition is pleased to announce that the number of visitors to Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan (hereinafter referred to as “the Expo”) reached 20.25 million on 6 September, 147 days after the opening.
In honour of 2025, the year of the Expo, a ceremony was held to commemorate the 20.25 million visitors to the Expo site on Yumeshima. At the beginning of the ceremony, Secretary General of the Association ISHIGE Hiroyuki, expressed his deep gratitude to the many visitors who have attended despite this summer’s unusually hot weather, and expressed his hope that everyone would enjoy the Expo until the very end, ensuring that it would be a memorable experience for everyone.
The ceremony was livestreamed on the Virtual Expo app, allowing visitors to celebrate with us. Additionally, digital stamps and AR photo frames commemorating 20.25 million visitors will be available for a limited time from 13 to 23 September. We invite everyone to take this opportunity to participate in the Virtual Expo, which you can enjoy from the comfort of your own home.
There is just over a month left until the closing ceremony and reservation slots are filling up quickly. However, there are still some days and time slots with availability, so we encourage visitors to reserve and visit as soon as possible.
