2025.02.14 Data of Accidents and Occupational Injuries During Expo Site Construction Work

The following table provides information on the number of accidents and occupational injuries*1 sustained during venue construction work that resulted in four or more days off from work, reported to the Association in January 2025.

Accidents resulting in 4 or more days off from workEntanglement/ EntrapmentTwo workers, one in front and one behind, were transporting a trolley loaded with materials. When the worker at the back pushed hard over a step, the trolley ran over the left foot of the worker in front.
Cut / ScrapeWhen a worker attempted to pull out an anchor bolt that had been driven in the wrong position, the bolt scattered and hit the worker’s right eye, causing injury.
Cut / ScrapeWhen cutting base material, the circular saw got caught on the material and was thrown away cutting a worker’s hand.
*1: Accidents outside the Expo site, such as traffic accidents during material transport, are not counted.
