Kuroshio current. Dipping into a single ocean that connects our countries.
The ocean and the sun are the symbols that shape the architecture of the Pavilion. Responsible for life on the planet and the basis of the national identity of both Spain and Japan, they define our geography, our culture and our way of understanding life.
On the other hand, both countries have been linked for centuries by the Kuroshio Current, the source of inspiration for the exhibition, which shows how the two countries have been linked for centuries by a powerful invisible thread that has allowed the creation of one of the most prolific routes of exchange between East and West.
