An opening performance that looks back on the 184 days of Expo 2025 through video and stage production. Experience once again the diverse scenes that unfolded at the Expo site and the moments that moved visitors’ hearts, alongside a 1/200-scale model of the Grand Ring. Toward the end, Myaku Myaku will also make an appearance to liven up the opening of the Summit.
This segment, presented in the format of a news programme, explores how the lessons, technologies, and connections forged at Expo 2025 will shape the future. Together with panelists from various backgrounds involved in the Expo, we will consider how to carry forward the Expo’s legacy to the next international exposition and future society.
Eleven producers who helped shape Expo 2025 will take the stage to present on the themes they raised at the Expo, how those themes have evolved since the event’s conclusion, and the future they aim to achieve.
Based on the “Futures Messages”—voices for the future—collected from visitors through various “EXPO 2025 Futures” events, this programme features readings and dance performances that convey the hopes for the future envisioned by each individual. The readers include UDO Yumiko and AOKI Munetaka, while the performers include AoiTsuki, who appeared in the closing ceremony and first-anniversary event performance programme “Start for the Futures. ~Toward Each Person’s Future,” as well as the kid dancers who performed at the closing ceremony and the 1st-anniversary event, and the percussion performance group LA SEÑAS. Together, they will lead the event toward a grand finale that engages the entire venue.
