The Japan Association for the 2025 World Exposition has launched the program “TEAM EXPO 2025” in the run up to EXPO 2025 Osaka, Kansai. With a view to realizing the main theme of the Expo, Designing Future Society for Our Lives, and contributing to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) proposed by the United Nations, the program is designed to work with participating groups from various sectors toward co-creating a future ideal society with the initiative taken by each group.
Having established this program consisting of two categories, “Co-Creation Challenges”, which refer to individual activities pursued with the aim of “Designing Future Society for Our Lives”, and “Co-Creation Partner”, who create these challenges and provide support for implementing them, the program now calls for applications for participation.
Launching this year as an effort to take specific action toward realizing the theme of the Expo, Designing Future Society for Our Lives, this program aims to induce many challenging activities for creating a future ideal society with an eye focused on 2025 and beyond (Co-Creation Challenges), and bring such activities to fruition, thereby forming through concerted efforts of many players a future society that is generally recognized as ideal and is conducive to the achievement of the SDGs. These activities will be promoted with support using various resources from Co-Creation Partner who approve of the program’s aim.
In 2025, the Expo year, the activities generated through this program will be showcased mainly at the Expo venue and shared with the international community.
