The Japan Association for the 2025 World Exposition (hereinafter referred to as “the Association”) has selected the exhibitors for the Women’s Pavilion (tentative name)” at Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan (hereinafter referred to as “the Expo”).
The Association invited companies, organisations and others to apply for participation from 1 July to 29 July 2022, and established the “Women’s Pavilion (tentative name) Review Committee to review the applications. The Association then held discussions with the Japanese government and selected the exhibitors below. The exhibitors will plan, design, and construct the pavilion in cooperation with the Government and the Association, as well as hold exhibitions and performances, taking into account the Government’s gender equality policies and the development of global gender discourse advancements.

〇 The proposals were based on the purpose of establishing the pavilion.
〇 The proposals demonstrated high feasibility, backed by the expertise gained from activities such as the Expo 2025 Dubai Women’s Pavilion and the Cartier Women’s Initiative.
〇 Ground-breaking proposals that contribute to the SDGs that the Expo aims to achieve were presented, such as the reuse of building materials from Expo 2020 Dubai and the reuse of building materials after Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan.
〇 Some proposals will be further discussed with the Association and the Government to ensure consistency with the Government’s gender equality policies.
〇 Please proceed with the detailed planning and development to achieve the objectives of the establishment of the pavilion and implement the proposals provided by the exhibitors.
