The Japan Association for the 2025 World Exposition (hereinafter referred to as “the Association”) will unveil the sponsors of the “Future Society Showcase” at Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan (hereinafter referred to as “the Expo”). We will also hold a briefing session about “Theme Weeks”, a new initiative that will be open to a wide range of companies and organisations.
About the “Future Society Showcase”
The “Future Society Showcase” is based on the Expo’s concept of “People’s Living Lab – A laboratory for future society.” It is a collective name for a group of projects being implement with the cooperation of the government and companies to “demonstrate” and “implement” cutting-edge technology and social systems that give a sense of the future beyond 2025 in a way that is fitting for the Expo.
The Future Society Showcase is split into six main parts: “Smart Mobility Expo,” “Digital Expo,” “Virtual Expo,” “Art Expo,” “Green Expo,” and “Future Life Expo.” Discussions are currently underway with many companies and organisations regarding sponsorship for each project.
About “Theme Weeks”
“Theme Weeks” is a project that takes advantage of the characteristics of the Expo, where countries from all over the world gather in the same place for six months, bringing together wisdom to solve global issues, exploring solutions and create a future society for our lives through dialogue.
Following the 1994 General Assembly of the Bureau International des Expositions (BIE), which defined the role of international expositions as contributing to the resolution of global issues, Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan will continue to develop this initiative which was first held at Expo 2020 Dubai. Throughout the event, we plan to hold dialogue programmes and business exchanges tailored to various themes. We are now accepting applications for sponsors who will work toward solutions to global issues and work with us to create new value at the Expo and share the results with many people.
