The Japan Association for the 2025 World Exposition (hereinafter referred to as “the Association”) announces that the Association obtained permission from Osaka Customs to use the site of Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan (hereinafter referred to as “the Expo”) as a customs display area on March 13, and the permit issuance ceremony was held on March 27.
A customs display area is a bonded area approved by the Director General of Customs as a place where foreign goods can be exhibited in Japan, such as at international expositions and trade fairs. In a customs display area, if foreign goods used as exhibited items are sent back to a foreign country without being imported, they may be exhibited without being subject to taxes. Obtaining a customs display area permit will contribute to the reduction of the cost for Official Participants.
