Call for applications for presentations and exhibitions to start for “Future Life Experience”, the “[TEAM EXPO 2025] Programme” and “Best Practices”
The Japan Association for the 2025 World Exposition (hereinafter referred to as “the Association”) is pleased to announce that applications for presentations and exhibitions will be open as follows. From among the “Future Society Showcase Projects”: “Future Life Experience”, applications will open for the “Future Life Experience (hereinafter referred to as “FLE”)” projects where visitors can experience “Future Lifestyles (Food, culture, and healthcare) and projects conducted at the “TEAM EXPO 2025 Pavilion” where visitors can experience “Actions for the Future.”
A wide variety of entities can participate, including companies (small and medium-sized companies, start-ups, etc.), educational, academic, and research institutions (universities, research institutes, etc.); national and government agencies (incorporated administrative agencies, etc.), international organizations, local governments, NGOs, NPOs, and various groups of organizations and individuals.
The projects will be a place to realize co-creation, where various participants will bring a wide variety of “questions” and “proposals” based on the concepts of “Future Lifestyles (Food, culture, and healthcare)” and “Actions for the Future” to generate dialogue among participants and with visitors, and to think and “co-create” what the future society will be like.
(1) Presentations and exhibitions at the “Future Life Experience” (permanent exhibition/limited period exhibition/stage)
Participants who submit “questions” and “proposals” related to “Future Lifestyles” such as “future food, culture, and healthcare” at Future Life Experience are invited. To allow entities of various sizes and positions to participate, three types of participation are prepared: “Permanent exhibition” is the one for the entire duration of the Expo. “Limited-period exhibition” is exhibited only for a part of the Expo period. “Stage participation” is for presentations given for a few hours at a time. We aim to create memorable and enjoyable projects through interactive and dynamic exhibitions, rather than merely providing information to visitors. For application details, please check the application guidelines which will be posted on the Association’s website.

Since its launch in October 2020, many activities have been registered in this participatory programme, including activities to solve social issues and achieve the SDGs, as well as activities by companies wishing to communicate their initiatives to the world and co-create actions for the future together. Approximately 3,000 groups will be selected from among the participants to present their achievements at the Expo site and engage in “dialogue” with many people, including visitors and exhibitors, with the aim of creating new “co-creation” for the realization of future society.
