From Friday, January 26, 2024, the Japan Association for the 2025 World Exposition (hereinafter referred to as “the Association”), Osaka Prefecture, and the City of Osaka have begun accepting applications for volunteers for Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan (hereinafter referred to as “the Expo”). At the Expo site, volunteers will guide and welcome visitors from Japan and abroad to the Expo, and to Osaka and the Kansai region. They will also offer information and assistance at major train stations, airports, and other locations around the city, as well as providing visitor support at the Osaka Healthcare Pavilion. On the same day, a Volunteer Centre was opened to provide consultation about the application process.
The Association is organising a variety of programmes to provide opportunities for people to participate and bring to life the Expo’s theme of “Designing a Future Society for Our Lives”. One of these is the volunteer programme – an opportunity for a wide range of people to play a part in the Expo and gain a unique, valuable experience through working hand-in-hand with other volunteers to make the Expo a reality. We look forward to welcoming people from around the world and invite you to broaden your horizons by volunteering at the Expo.

・Uniforms will be loaned to volunteers until the closing day of the Expo (October 13, 2025).
・Volunteer activity insurance (to cover the volunteer during training and volunteering)
・2,000 yen to cover transportation and food costs on each day of volunteering. (In the form of a pre-paid card, etc.)
・Volunteers must be at least 18 years old on April 1, 2025.
・Must be able to communicate in Japanese.
・Must be able to participate in interviews and training.
*Applicants are required to agree to the “Notes for Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan Volunteering Application and Participation”.
Applicants can apply as an individual or in a group (2-4 people).

*On both Saturday, January 27 and Sunday, January 28, 2024, the consultation service is available from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
*The center will also serve as a training and social space for volunteers.
