2024.02.14 Junior Expo 2025 Educational Program for the 2023 Academic Year “Presentations By Junior High School Students” To Be Held

The Japan Association for the 2025 World Exposition will hold the Junior Expo “Presentations by Junior High School Students” on Friday, February 23, 2024, at “The 5th Kansai SDGs Youth Meeting 2023” as a platform for children to present what they have learnt through the Junior Expo 2025 Educational Program.
The program was launched in October 2020 to encourage children, who will play a leading role in the future, to participate in events related to Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan (hereinafter referred to as the Expo) in the run-up to the Expo. Students also learn about the SDGs, think of ideas around the Expo theme “Designing Future Society for Our Lives,” and develop an interest in visiting the Expo in 2025. In the 2023 academic year the program is open to elementary and junior high schools not only in Japan but also in overseas Japanese schools and other overseas educational facilities.
From 112 ideas submitted by participating junior high schools in Japan, three have been selected to be presented by the junior high school students, who will then receive comments from the judges.
