2024.04.23 Formulation of Japan Association for the 2025 World Exposition Human Rights Policy

The Japan Association for the 2025 World Exposition (hereinafter referred to as “the Association”) recognises that in order to realise the theme of “Designing Future Society for Our Lives,” it is necessary to uphold the human rights of each and every individual involved in Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan (hereinafter referred to as “the Expo”). To ensure that the human rights of all people involved are respected and to contribute to the achievement of the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by 2030, the Association has formulated the “Human Rights Policy of the Japan Association for the 2025 World Exposition.”

This policy, positioned under the Sustainability Policy of Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan, serves as the foundation for other policies and regulations. It will be applied to the Secretary General of the Association, subordinate executives, and staff (including dispatched and contract workers), as well as the Chairperson of the Association and subordinate officers. We also expect the wide range of Official Participants, exhibitors, and suppliers who will cooperate in the Expo to support this policy.
