2024.05.30 Four Members Appointed to Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan Best Practices Selection Committee”

The Japan Association for the 2025 World Exposition (hereinafter referred to as “the Association”) is pleased to announce that four selection committee members have been selected for the Best Practices for Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan (hereinafter referred to as “the Expo”). The Best Practices will select projects that embody the Expo’s “Designing Future Society for Our Lives” on the condition that they register their activities and participate in the “TEAM EXPO 2025” programme, which is designed to disseminate high-quality projects that solve important global issues.

   ▽ What is “Best Practices”?
Best Practices is a programme that disseminates high-quality projects that solve important global issues. Projects that embody the Expo’s theme of “Designing Future Society for Our Lives” will be selected for Best Practices provided they are registered for the TEAM EXPO 2025 programme. 
The selected Best Practices will be introduced on the Expo’s official website and displayed in the Best Practices area at the Expo site.. In addition, we are considering inviting the winners to the site, providing opportunities for them to present their initiatives and setting up opportunities for exchange.
At the Dubai Expo, 25 projects were selected from 1,175 applicants and are introduced as Dubai Expo Best Practice winners on the webpage at the URL below.

  ▽ Flow after receiving Best Practices award (Tentative)
・Be exhibited in the TEAM EXPO Pavilion.
・Be exhibited in the Virtual Expo TEAM EXPO Pavilion.
・Receive an award mark.
・Be displayed on the Expo’s official website.
Other opportunities for presentations, etc., both inside and outside the Expo site are being considered.

The Best Practices of Expo 2025, Osaka, Kansai, Japan will be linked to the TEAM EXPO 2025 programme and contribute to the realisation of the theme “Designing Future Society for Our Lives.”

  ▽ Best Practices: Eligibility and Conditions of Application
Applications for Best Practices are open Wednesday,19 June, 2024.

・Eligibility :
1. Projects should embody the theme “Designing Future Society for Our Lives” and its sub-themes (Saving Lives, Empowering Lives, and Connecting Lives). For example, projects that lead to solutions to future issues of food and future life, such as food loss, food tech, sustainable fashion, etc. projects that lead to solutions to issues of the future of the earth and biodiversity, such as marine pollution and woodland regeneration etc.
2. Projects with potential to have a clear and tangible impact that can be expanded to other regions.
3. Projects expected to contribute to a better future while maintaining sustainability, etc.

● Conditions of Application:
 Applicants must have registered their project in the TEAM EXPO 2025 programme and be participating in the said programme.
 * Note: Applicants under the age of 18 (high school, junior high school, elementary school students) should obtain consent from a guardian before applying.
