Event Starting Time / Booking Information Updated!
Singer Ado will hold a special live performance at the EXPO Arena “Matsuri”, an outdoor event space at the Expo site on Yumeshima Island, to celebrate the opening of Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan (hereinafter referred to as “the Expo”) on Sunday 13 April 2025.
To commemorate the opening special opening live performance, an advertisement featuring a new illustration drawn by singer Ado’s image director, ORIHARA, was published in the “New York Times” on Wednesday, 18 September.
The opening of the 184-day Expo will be graced by Ado, the singer who continues to fascinate the world. We hope everyone is looking forward to the opening of the Expo!
Ado’s Comment
I will be holding a special live performance to kick off the opening of Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan.
It’s truly an honour to receive such a valuable opportunity. I am looking forward to showcasing the beauty of Japanese culture and music that I love, to the rest of the world through my performance. I am very excited about this!

Reservations : Applications for the event lottery for Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan admission ticket holders will be accepted from Monday, 13 January 2025. Please check the reservation and lottery guide ‘Lottery two months in advance’ before applying.
Lottery application period: Monday, 13 January – Wednesday,12 February 2025
▷Notification of winners (winners only): in order from Thursday, 13 February 2025
*Winners will be notified of the procedure for issuing an entrance number by separate email at least three weeks before the event date. Please note that a fee for using the admission number issuing system is required for the admission number issuing procedure.
*Limit of participation: Children who are not attending school are not allowed to enter.
*Rules for attending: standing performances. Entrance ticket required for primary schools students and above. Other rules can be found in the event section of the official application ‘EXPO 2025 Visitors’
