Concept image of the Robot & Mobility Station

The Japan Association for the 2025 World Exposition (hereinafter referred to as “the Association”) will hold the Robot Experience as part of the Smart Mobility Expo of the “Future Society Showcase Project” at Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan (hereinafter referred to as “the Expo”).

The Robot Experience is an initiative to implement and demonstrate a variety of next-generation robots within the Expo site. In addition to setting up a “Robot & Mobility Station” to display robots at the venue, the Association aims to create an environment where robots and people can coexist at the venue by using robots to provide services such as transport, guidance, cleaning, and security within the facilities. This provides a tangible demonstration of how robots will contribute to our future lifestyles.　

Based on the Expo’s concept “People’s Living Lab; A laboratory for a future society”, participants will aim to transform society through collaboration with robots in various aspects of our lives and realise a co-created vision of a future society in which humans and robots coexist.

The Association is pleased to announce that the following participants have been selected for the project .

Approximately 50 robots from 19 companies and organisations have currently been selected to participate in the “Robot Experience”. More participants are currently under consideration. For more information, please see the appendix.

This facility allows visitors to see the robots participating in the Robot Experience up close and experience demonstrations. It will be located in the Empowering Lives Zone within the Grand Ring at the Expo site.
