The Japan Association for the 2025 World Exposition (hereinafter referred to as “the Association”) is pleased to announce 70 payment brands that will be accepted for cashless payments at the Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan (hereinafter referred to as “the Expo”) site.
More than 60 dedicated top-up machines will be installed at the Expo site, which can be used to charge four types of prepaid card from cash. This makes it easy for those without smartphones or other devices to use cashless payment.
Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan will be fully cashless and will support a variety of cashless payment methods, creating an environment in which visitors can comfortably use cashless payments at the site. The Expo site will act as a “People’s Living Lab; A laboratory for a future society” and take on the challenge of accelerating Japan’s cashless society.

▽Installation of prepaid e-money card top-up machines
With the support of TOPPAN Edge Inc., more than 60 dedicated top-up machines will be set up at the Expo site to enable visitors to top-up various types of prepaid e-money card with cash. This will provide an environment where cashless payments can be easily used even by those who do not have a smartphone or similar device. The recharging machines can also be used to recharge AEON Pay code payments.
