– MYAKU-MYAKU will visit Manila for the First Time! Accelerating Global Promotion in the Run-up to 2 months to go for the opening of the Expo! –
The Japan Association for the 2025 World Exposition (hereafter referred to as “the Association”) will promote Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan (hereinafter referred to as “the Expo”) at the Hong Kong Holiday & Travel Expo 2025 (Hong Kong, 22 February – 23 February 2025), Los Angeles Travel and Adventure Show (Los Angeles, United States, 22 February – 23 February 2025), and Japan Travel Show (Manila, the Philippines, 22 February – 23 February 2025)
A PR booth will be set up to promote the attractions of the Expo. The Expo’s official character, MYAKU-MYAKU, will also make an appearance at the venues and hold a meet-and-greet with visitors. In addition, we will conduct a campaign in which those who take photos and post them to social media will be given commemorative Expo items. This will be MYAKU-MYAKU’s first visit to Los Angeles and Manila.
With less than 2 months to go before the opening of the Expo, we will be actively promoting the attractions of the Expo overseas to accelerate building momentum globally.
Outline of Event
Hong Kong HTE (Holiday & Travel Expo) 2025 – Hong Kong
Dates: 22 February 2025 – 23 February 2025 11:00~20:00 *Local time
Venue: Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (Hall 5 BCD)
Outline: This is a B to C travel expo organized by the Hong Kong Exhibition Group and co-organised by the Hong Kong Association of Travel Agents. Famous companies from around the world, such as Cathay Pacific, Cathay Holidays, and KKday, will exhibit, and it is expected to attract approximately 200,000 visitors. The first expo will be held in February 2024, and is characterized by being a place where real interactions with Hong Kong travellers can be conducted by directly selling travel and travel-related products. In a recent survey conducted by the exhibition group, about 30% of respondents answered that they “travel more than four times a year,” indicating that there is a very high demand for overseas travel among Hong Kong people, and the promotion of Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan will likely encourage visits immediately after the opening.

Los Angeles Travel and Adventure Show（Los Angeles・United States）

Venue: Los Angeles Convention Center Hall AB (Expo Booth: Inside the KANSAI Tourism Booth in the JNTO Japan Pavillion)
Outline: Held in Los Angeles, this is a travel show for all visitors (B to C). It is one of the largest travel shows on the west coast of the United States and visitors can discover thousands of the newest vacation options from the top destinations from around the globe. Last year, the event recorded a total of over 17,312 visitors over the two days.

Japan Travel Fair 2025 (Manila, the Philippines)
Dates: 22 February 2025 – 23 February 2025
Venue: Glorietta 1 floor, Glorietta Activity Center (Expo Booth: 2)
Outline: This is a travel event for general consumers organized by the Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO) Manila office with the aim of promoting the attractions of tourism in Japan. A similar comprehensive event for visiting Japan, Japan Fiesta (organized by the Japan Fiesta Council), held in February 2023, attracted more than 80,000 visitors over two days.
