Taking into account that visitor numbers at past international expositions have tended to increase toward the latter half of the event period, the Japan Association for the 2025 World Exposition (hereinafter referred to as “the Association”) aims to attract more visitors to Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan (hereinafter referred to as “the Expo”) in April and May, when the weather is more pleasant. It is also hoped that visitors who experience the attractions of the Expo early will be encouraged to return as repeat visitors.
Therefore, a discount on Season Passes will be offered to those who visit in April or May. In addition, to make it easier for visitors to use Season Passes, Summer Passes, and Weekday Passes, the times and days when they can enter the Expo have been revised.
■ Initiative 1: Exclusive Discount on Season Passes for Those Who Visit in April and May
A discount code that can be used to purchase a Season Pass will be distributed exclusively to visitors in April and May. If you visit once in April or May using an advance discount ticket (e.g. Opening Ticket, First-Half Period Ticket, or Super-Early Bird Ticket), then wish to visit again multiple times, you can purchase a Season Pass at a reduced price.
How to Use the Discount Code
・Discount codes will be distributed at the information centres in front of the East and West Gates (planned location) to those who present the ticket they used on the day of their visit.
・The distribution period is from Sunday 13 April to Sunday 31 May, every day after 15:00 (planned).
・On the dedicated site where the discount code can be used, you will be asked to log in with your Expo ID and enter the specified code. You can then proceed to purchase tickets, add the “Season Pass” to your cart and enter the discount code on the ‘Purchase details’ confirmation screen before payment is made, then you can purchase the Season Pass at the discounted price.

■ Initiative 2: Improvement of the terms of use for the Season Pass (easi ng restrictions on admission times and days when visitors can visit)
The Season Pass was originally designed to allow unlimited admission after 11:00 every day from the opening day (13 April 2025) until 3 October, but for the convenience of visitors who have purchased the Season Pass, the restriction on admission before 11:00 will be eased to allow reservations for visits from 9:00 onwards, and the pass will remain available throughout the Expo period until the closing day (13 October).
The easing of the above terms of use is planned to take effect around the first week of April. Detailed dates and times will be announced as soon as they have been finalised. After that date, visitors will be able to reserve a visit under the new terms of use on the official website. (Reservations can be made up to six months in advance of the desired visit date.)
Visitors are requested to make a reservation for their visit date and time in advance. There is no change to the number of visit reservations (up to three dates and times) that can be made before visiting the Expo site. (After one visit, you can reserve the date and time of your next (fourth) visit, and the same applies thereafter.)
■ Initiative 3: Improvement of terms of use for Summer Passes and Weekday Tickets (easing of restrictions on admission times)
In line with the relaxation of usage restrictions for Season Passes mentioned above, the Summer Pass was originally designed to be available for any number of admissions after 11:00 every day from 19 July to 31 August 2025 and the Weekday Ticket (sold during the Expo period) was originally designed to be available for one admission after 11:00 on weekdays, but for the convenience of those who have purchased these passes, the decision has been made to ease the admission restrictions and reservations for visits from 9:00 will be accepted.
The eased terms of usee mentioned above are planned to take effect around the first week of April. Detailed dates and times will be announced as soon as they have been decided. After that time, visitors will be able to book their visit on the official website under the new terms of use. (Weekday Tickets will go on sale after the opening of the Expo).
Visitors are requested to make a reservation for their visit date and time in advance. The number of visit reservations (up to two dates and times) you can make before visiting the Expo site remains unchanged for the Summer Pass. (After one visit, you can reserve the date and time of your next (third) visit, and the same applies thereafter.)
