▽ About the Co-Design Challenge Programme:
The Co-Design Challenge program is a project that takes the opportunity of Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan to rethink various aspects of Japan’s life in the future and realize new things at the Expo through co-creation with various players.
By utilizing the opportunity of the Expo to develop new goods and services, we aim to solve current social issues and realize the future society that the Expo aims for.
This programme has conducted two rounds of recruitment. The first round (Co-Design Challenge 2023) was for product development, and the second round (Co-Design Challenge 2024) is for product development as well as open factory initiatives, where production sites and workshops in each region of Japan where the products are made are opened to the public, allowing visitors to experience the manufacturing process with the aim of boosting local tourism. Information on the open factories will be posted on the tourism portal site “Expo 2025 Official Experiential Travel Guides” in due course.
Through these initiatives, we will work to realise the future society that the Expo aims to achieve.
