In light of the tendency for many visitors to concentrate at the Expo site between 9:00 and 11:00, The Japan Association for the 2025 World Exposition has decided to change the boarding system for shuttle buses departing from Sakurajima Station Bus Terminal. From Friday 30 May 2025, the boarding system will change from “priority boarding for pre-paid passengers” to “reservation-only” for buses between the first departure and 10:30am. This change is being implemented to ensure the smooth transportation of visitors during peak hours at Sakurajima Station Shuttle Bus Terminal.
Please note that general visitors will not be allowed to board without a reservation during these times.
There is ample room in the P&R Parking (at Maishima, Amagasaki, and Sakai), from which you can access the West Gate, so please also consider using these facilities.
▽ Changes to the Boarding of Sakurajima Station Shuttle Buses (to the Expo site)
・Only visitors who have reserved (and paid for in advance) a bus seat will be allowed to board shuttle buses departing from Sakurajima Station Bus Terminal between the first departure and 10:30.
・Boarding procedures for buses after 10.30 will be handled in the same way as before, with priority given to those with a reservation. However, passengers without a reservation may have to wait for a long time, so please purchase a priority boarding slot and pay in advance.
・Priority boarding slots are available from 10.30 for buses to the Expo site and from 18:00 for buses from the Expo site.
