Entry Restrictions to the Grand Ring
Access to the top of the Grand Ring will be restricted from 16:00 to 19:00 on the day of “Grand Ring Bon Dance – Connecting the World from Osaka.” During this time, only pre-registered participants and authorised personnel will be permitted to access the top of the Grand Ring. For the safety of all visitors, we kindly ask them to cooperate in following the instructions of security personnel, staff, and announcements at the Expo site.
* Please exit the top of the Grand Ring by 16:00.
* The top of the Grand Ring is scheduled to reopen around 19:00. However, the timing may be subject to change.
* Please be aware that during the main part of the event (scheduled from 18:00 to 18:30), drones will fly over the Grand Ring for filming purposes.
Details of “Grand Ring Bon Dance -Connecting the World from Osaka-“
Bon dance (a traditional style of dance typically performed during the Obon festival – a summer festival honouring ancestors’ spirits) will be held on the Grand Ring, the largest wooden structure in the world, with around 8,000 dancers!
