Increased Capacity for Maishima and Sakai P&R Shuttle Buses, and ATC and Cosmosquare Return Buses Discontinued
In anticipation of large crowds toward the end of the Expo period, the Japan Association for the 2025 World Exposition will implement the following changes to transportation from 18 August 2025.
Capacity will be increased on the Maishima Expo P&R and Sakai Expo P&R shuttle bus services to the Expo site in the early morning, and on the return routes after 20:00.
In addition, return buses to ATC and Cosmosquare Station will be discontinued to free up buses to be used for the above mentioned P&R shuttle bus routes. The timetable of buses to the Expo site on these routes will also be revised. From around mid-September, the ATC route is planned to be discontinued and integrated with the Cosmosquare route.
Changes to Transport
1. Number of Maishima Expo P&R shuttle buses (From 18 August)
- Between 8:00 and 8:59: 76 (18 buses added)
- After 20:00: 155 (38 buses added)
2. Sakai Expo P&R shuttle buses (From 18 August)
- Between 8:00 and 8:59: 24 (1 bus added)
- After 20:00: 80 (28 buses added)
*P&R shuttle buses will be operated according to demand on the day. The number of services is approximate and for reference only.
3. ATC shuttle bus service
(From 18 August)
- Buses to the Expo site: as per the timetable below.
- Buses from the Expo site: to be discontinued.
(From mid-September)
- Buses to the Expo site: to be discontinued.
4. Cosmosquare shuttle bus service
(from 18 August)
- Buses to the Expo site: as per the timetable below.
- Buses from the Expo siter: to be discontinued.
