Sakurajima Station Shuttle Bus Malfunction
On Saturday, 9 August 2025, at approximately 18:30, a shuttle bus bound for Sakurajima Station from Yumeshima Island experienced a malfunction on the road at the north end of Yumemai Bridge (lane two).
The bus operator, Osaka City Bus Corporation, subsequently arranged for a replacement bus, which transported 31 passengers to the Sakurajima Station Bus Terminal by 19:30. There were no reported injuries.
Osaka City Bus Corporation is currently investigating the cause of the malfunction, however there will be no impact on future Sakurajima Station Shuttle Bus services.
