The Japan Association for the 2025 World Exposition (hereinafter referred to as “the Association”) will promote Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan (hereinafter referred to as “the Expo”) by having its official character, MYAKU-MYAKU, appear at the opening ceremony and set up a booth at the TICAD Business Expo & Conference. The Conference is one of the thematic events of the 9th Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD 9), which will be held in Yokohama from 20-22 August 2025.
The PR booth will screen a video introducing the pavilions of African countries participating in the Expo. Leaflets from each country, showcasing their initiatives and participation in the Expo, will also be distributed. The Expo’s official character, MYAKU-MYAKU, will also make an appearance at the venue to greet visitors and other exhibitors.
Many heads of state and important government officials from African countries will attend TICAD’s thematic events. The Association welcomes African countries’ participation in the Expo and TICAD 9, and will also disseminate information about the cultural and economic exchanges between Japan and Africa that have been further deepened by the Expo.
