The Japan Association for the 2025 World Exposition is pleased to announce the details of the closing ceremony of Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan (hereinafter referred to as “the Expo”).
At the closing ceremony, we will express our gratitude to all visitors and everyone involved with the Expo and hand over the flag of the Bureau International des Expositions (BIE) to the next host nation.

Date and Time: Monday, 13 October 2025, 14:00 – around 15:10 (Planned)
Venue: EXPO Hall “Shining Hat”
* Attendance at the ceremony is by invitation only.
* Public viewings are scheduled at EXPO National Day Hall “Ray Garden” and EXPO Arena “Matsuri”.

TV Broadcast: The ceremony will be broadcast live nationwide by NHK (Japan Broadcasting Corporation).

United as one at Yumeshima, we will take this day as a new starting point towards our respective futures. Under the theme “For the Futures”, the closing ceremony will send off everyone who contributed to the Expo with gratitude, praise and encouragement as each of our Futures begins.
