The 2025 Japan Association for the World Exposition (hereinafter referred to as “the Association”) and the Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan Master License Office (hereinafter referred to as the “2025MLO”) are pleased to announce that the “Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan Official Store – JUNKUDO Dojima Avanza Store” will be renewed and reopen on Saturday, 31 January 2026.
The store first opened on 24 October 2025, after Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan closed and was very well received, with many customers visiting despite the Expo having already closed.
The reopening will see an expansion of the sales floor space and an even greater selection of official licensed goods. In addition, it will be the first official store be reimagined as an interactive hub that passes down the excitement and memories of the Expo to the next generation through the establishment of a permanent “MYAKU-MYAKU Interaction Plaza”.
*Due to the renewal, the Dojima Avanza store will be closed from Thursday, 29 January to Friday, 30 January.

Details of the Renewal
■ Renewal as a Flagship Store
The sales floor will be approximately doubled, and the range of official licensed goods will be expanded. We aim to create a flagship store that will leave an impression on each and every visitor and serve as a hub for passing down the excitement and memories born at the Expo to the next generation.
The store will feature a display based on the popular “plus toy tower” from the official stores at the Expo site. The space will also be reconfigured to fit the atmosphere of the Dojima Avanza store, welcoming customers with a nostalgic and impactful presentation.

■ MYAKU-MYAKU Interaction Plaza
This will be the first permanent base where visitors can interact with MYAKU-MYAKU and enjoy the same experiences enjoyed by many visitors to the Expo Site. Details of meet and greets and photo sessions will be announced on the 2025MLO official website and social media.
■ Exhibit Area
A range of MYAKU-MYAKU with various expressions will be displayed. Visitors can enjoy an interactive experience with a trick that uses “flash prints,” which change colour when photographed with the camera flash.
*At the time of the reopening, the exhibits will be one-dimensional, but from February onwards three-dimensional versions will gradually be installed.
■ Photo Spot
A photo spot will be established where customers can take photos as a memento of their visit. So, even if those missed the opportunity to take a photo at MYAKU-MYAKU’s house during the Expo, can take a memorable photo with MYAKU-MYAKU.
■ Message Board & Digital Signage
Interactive content through which visitors can share their messages about MYAKU-MYAKU, and the Expo will be displayed.
Messages submitted by visitors will blend harmoniously with space’s design, creating an invigorating information sharing spot for both senders and viewers. In addition, MYAKU-MYAKU related content will be displayed on digital signage.
■ Meet and Greet Space
Meet and greet photo events will be held irregularly. The schedule and details of these events will be announced through the Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan Official Store Maruzen JUNKUDO Store’s official X account.
