Title of ’Water Plaza Water Show‘ Decided
-Website Released to Introduce the Concept and Story of the Show-
The Japan Association for the 2025 World Exposition is pleased to announce that the title of the Water Plaza Water Show, one of the “Future Society Showcase Projects” at Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan, has been decided as “Under the Midnight Rainbow” and that the website (https://www.expo2025.airandwatershow.jp）to introduce the concept and story of the show will be released at 2 pm on Wednesday, December 13, 2023.
“Under the Midnight Rainbow” is a spectacular show performed on the “Water Plaza,” the water surface inside the Ring. A spectacular show of water, air, light, fire, images, and music will be performed after sunset every day during the Expo. The Water Plaza is a recreational space adjacent to the Signature Pavilions and is expected to draw many visitors to this area. At the center of the stage, a monumental “water cascade” will be constructed to create a screen of water. The area will be densely covered with approximately 300 fountains, as well as a variety of lighting and laser devices. These devices will resonate with music to create a spectacular show that will allow visitors to experience a story.

They say when a rainbow appears on a moonlit night, a festival is held by the creatures on the island.
Not just animals. Insects, fish, plants and trees, and even creatures that should be extinct.
On an island where such a legend remains, a child named “Ao” meets a rainbow.
Ao is delighted by the festivities unfolding, and this is a magical story of how he mingles with a diverse group of creatures and connects with them.
