≪Official Ceremony≫

 Venue: EXPO National Day Hall “Ray Garden”
The German National Day will begin with the official welcome and flag-raising ceremony. This will be followed by a welcome address by Mr Frank-Walter Steinmeier, President of the Federal Republic of Germany. A cultural program will accompany the event, featuring a Japanese-German sung version of Beethoven’s “Ode to Joy,” a performance of the “Moonlight Sonata” by renowned pianist Alice Sara Ott, and a hip-hop dance performance set to Beethoven’s 5th Symphony.

≪“Beyond Planet Earth – German-Japanese Cooperation in Space” Event≫

In a joint event by JAXA, DLR and the Japanese-German Center Berlin (JDZB), leading space institutions from Japan and Germany invite visitors to a forward-looking exchange on the societal relevance of space exploration. Mr Frank-Walter Steinmeier, President of the Federal Republic of Germany, and German Federal Minister Ms Dorothee Bär will join astronauts, along with experts from research, politics and industry, to share insights and perspectives. Under the theme “Space as a key to the future,” the discussion will focus on new approaches to sustainability, climate protection, communication and mobility – all in the context of shaping tomorrow’s society.
