Based on the congestion experienced during the fireworks display on 28 June, the Japan Association for the 2025 World Exposition (hereinafter referred to as “the Association”) will implement a reservation-only policy for shuttle buses etc. departing from Yumeshima Transportation Terminal 1, which is connected directly to the West Gate, after 20:00 on peak days, such as those with firework displays.
As a general rule, visitors without reservations will not be allowed to board shuttle buses during these hours on these days. Those without reservations are kindly asked to use alternative means of transportation.
Please also note that once you exit from the West Gate, you cannot reach the East Gate except through re-entry.

* Other applicable days will be determined based on the status of entry-time reservations and return-bus reservations for the Sakurajima Station shuttle bus and will be announced by the day before.

A) Boarding Methods
① Sakurajima Station shuttle buses (return trips to Sakurajima Station)
The Sakurajima station shuttle buses will be reservation-only on the specified days and times, boarding will be limited to reservation holders only.

Please note that if you arrive later than your reserved time slot, you will not be allowed to board. Refunds are possible on the same day before boarding.
② Shuttle buses from stations other than Sakurajima Station

③ P&R Shuttle Buses (Maishima, Sakai, Amagasaki)
No changes (priority boarding for reservation holders)
④ Expressway buses (excluding buses to Kobe Sannomiya (Shinki Bus))

B）On‑site Announcements
On days when the reservation‑only system is enforced, the following announcements will be made. Please pay close attention to these messages when boarding return buses.
① Audio announcements

“Return buses are very crowded. The majority of buses will be reservation-only after 20:00. If you do not have a reservation, please use an alternative means of transport.”
b) Announcement on board buses going to the Expo site
“The Expo site is expected to be very crowded today so return buses will be reservation-only. If you do not have a reservation for a return bus, please use alternative means of transport.”
c) Announcements at the Entrance Plaza
“The Expo site is expected to be very crowded today so return station shuttle bus will be reservation-only. If you do not have a reservation, please use alternative means of transport.”
② Signage and announcements on the West Gate side of the Expo site (Appendix 2)
・Sakurajima Station Shuttle Bus: This bus is reservation-only
・Shinki Buses bound for Kobe Sannomiya: Boarding will close when the bus reaches capacity.
4. Re-entry stamps
・Once you exit from the West Gate, you will not be able to go to the East Gate except by re-entering the Expo site.
・If you are leaving from the West Gate intending to take a taxi or bus (Shinki Bus) to Kobe Sannomiya, etc. but there is a possibility that you may switch to the Osaka Metro Chuo Line depending on bus/taxi availability, we recommend getting a re-entry stamp.
・Please note that re-entry to Expo site for the purpose of using the East Gate to access the Osaka Metro Chuo Line is only allowed until 21:30.
