2025.08.18 Response to the Osaka Metro Service Disruption on 13 – 14 August

From 13 to 14 August, 2025, there was a disruption to the Osaka Metro Chuo Line.
We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience this caused, not only to visitors but also to Official Participants and those involved in site operations.
We would like to express our deepest gratitude to the many people involved in responding to this incident, including Official Participants, venue management and security staff, those working at pavilions and stores within the Expo site, the Osaka Prefectural Police, and those involved in transportation services such as trains, buses, and taxis. Thanks to their cooperation, we were able to avoid any major accidents.
The Japan Association for the 2025 World Exposition recognises that there are areas requiring improvement regarding the provision of information to visitors and those involved in site operations, temporary accommodation, and the provision of food and drink in the event of a disaster or equivalent incident such as this. We will learn from this incident and promptly address these areas that need improvement.
From now until the closing ceremony, we will work with all relevant parties involved in site operations to ensure the safety and security of visitors and those involved in the operation of the Expo.
