
On Thursday, 26 March, “EXPO 2025 VIRTUAL EXPO~YUMESHIMA ISLANDS IN THE SKY~”, the virtual site of Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan, has been certified as the world’s “largest virtual reality Expo” of the GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ .
Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan operated the virtual Expo as an “inclusive Expo” available between Thursday, 3 April and Monday, 13 October 2025. Visitors could experience virtual exhibits and events for free as an avatar via their smartphone, VR goggles, or computer.
The unprecedented format of the virtual Expo, which enabled visitors to participate in, and experience exhibits and events through avatars, proved to be very popular. The fact that it had the largest number of exhibits by countries and regions in the world led to this GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ certification.

“EXPO 2025 VIRTUAL EXPO~YUMESHIMA ISLANDS IN THE SKY~” was the virtual version of Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan. Visitors could enter the world of the Expo as avatars, tour virtual reproductions of the pavilions and event facilities, and enjoy exclusive virtual exhibits and events.
