At first glance, the Jellyfish Pavilion may seem to be a pavilion aimed at kids. But don’t be fooled – this is a playground for children of all ages from 1 to 120!
While the pavilion’s design and technology are impressive, the real standout is its people. With its diverse cast of facilitators, this pavilion stands as a living, breathing celebration of inclusion, diversity, and human connection.
The second floor, which can be entered without reservation, is a vibrant space that invites free expression. A grand piano, interactive instruments, and motion-sensor screens allow visitors to immerse themselves in sound and movement. Above, hundreds of fabric strips hang from the ceiling, each carrying handwritten messages from previous visitors. These “tentacles” form a symbolic jellyfish, growing day by day with the hopes and dreams of guests from around the world.
For those with reservations, the first floor offers an introspective journey. Visitors begin in a dark room, surrounded the sounds of nature and water. It’s a moment of quiet self-reflection, followed by a stunning 360° visual space where glowing jellyfish glide across the walls, responding in real time to live music performed at the center. The atmosphere feels alive, blurring the lines between technology, nature, and emotion.
The experience ends with a celebration of global culture. People from different countries appear on screen, dancing in traditional dress, and visitors in the room are invited to join. In this unchoreographed moment of movement and joy, the pavilion’s message becomes clear: life is most meaningful when it is shared. The Jellyfish Pavilion truly lives up to it’s tagline “The Playground of Life” offering a joyful celebration of life, creativity, and unity.
