The Baltic Pavilion, representing Latvia and Lithuania, offers a serene retreat amid the buzz of the Expo site. Centered around the theme “Nature, People, Technology,” the pavilion presents a harmonious vision of how traditional wisdom and modern innovation can coexist.
One of the standout features is the “Nature pharmacy” housed in a large glass installation, displaying over 300 samples from Baltic meadows that are still used in everyday life also in pharmaceutical and biocosmetic industries.
Pavilion staff share stories about the region’s continued reliance on ancestral wisdom and natural remedies, such as using mustard leaves for bruises, highlighting an enduring relationship with nature.
You’re sure to find something you like among the plants covering the wall!
Equally memorable is the pavilion’s tranquil chill-out area, where you can relax to the soothing sounds and smell of the forest. The green “Kizuna” wall invites to make a connection and leave a message Visitors are also invited to contribute to the planting trees in the Baltic forests – more than 230 thousand trees have already been planted virtually by visitors and will be planted physically in Latvia and Lithuania. This interactive element transforms the visit into a participatory act of sustainability, allowing you to feel directly involved in environmental preservation. Elegant, understated, and deeply impactful, the Baltic Pavilion offers a quiet yet powerful reminder of the importance of living in balance with the natural world.
Come enjoy the soothing ambience of nature at the Baltic Pavilion!
