■ Challenge Content (Product)
Sustainable Generation Incorporated Association will provide “exhibition stands” made from waste paper. In Japan, acrylic and wooden fixtures for exhibition are expensive, difficult to construct by yourself, and cannot be recycled. Therefore, we are developing an exhibition stand that is lightweight, strong, easy to assemble, recyclable, allows for vivid direct printing, and has a versatile design. The stand retains the lightness of recyclable corrugated cardboard and ensures durability through design.
This is a display stand that meets the needs of a new age. It is not disposable, is easy to carry and store, and is ultimately recycled and turned back into a cardboard box.
■ Challenge Content (Experience Plan)
In Katsuragi City, Nara Prefecture, visitors will experience the potential of paper for a sustainable future by visiting a corrugated cardboard case manufacturing plant, assembling a display stand that we have developed, and making SDKids as a method of utilizing corrugated fiberboard scraps.
In Katsuragi City, the “birthplace of sumo,” participants will also experience “DAN DAN SUMO”), a paper fighting game made with a UV inkjet printer and a cutting machine, similar to the display stands leased to Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan.
