2022.03.31 Revision of Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan Universal Design Guidelines

The Japan Association for the 2025 World Exposition(hereinafter referred to as “the Association”) has revised its Universal Design Guidelines.
Last year, the Association formulated the Universal Design Guidelines, but in order to make the Expo venue more accessible to all visitors, it has held meetings to hear the opinions of people with disabilities (physical, intellectual, mental, and developmental disabilities, etc.) and academics, as well as to consider revisions of the Universal Design Guidelines with reference to the Tokyo 2020 Accessibility Guidelines and other recent examples. The Guidelines have been revised to reflect these discussions and findings.
The revised version will be published on the Association’s official website. Going forward, the Association will continue to develop facilities inside the Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan site in accordance with the revised Universal Design Guidelines.

Please find the Universal Design Guidelines for Facility implementation PDF (revised version) on the following page.
