
■ Challenge Content (Product)
This stool shaped chair is made of materials that are filled with memories and originality, such as old materials from old houses and wood from furniture.
The seat is covered with cushions made from leftover cloth from the production process of Tango chirimen produced in the Tango region of northern Kyoto Prefecture. The cushion is embroidered with a picture that is related to the background such as the memory of the old material used and the personality of the user. Several types of cushions are available and can be replaced depending on the season.
■ Challenge Content (Experience Planning)
・Visits and exchanges at production sites *English is also available
You will visit the factory where the wooden parts and cushions that make up the stool are made, and you will feel the process and the passion of the makers.
・Experience of manufacturing techniques
We will hold workshops where you can experience the features of the production techniques such as wood and embroidery.
・Understanding of local climate and background
You will visit shrines, temples, and nature where you can understand the techniques of the production site and the background of the region that produces the makers.
