Waste materials from the manufacturing process. Until now, we have been recycling what we can recycle and throwing away what we still need to dispose of.
In the spirit of “MOTTAINAI,” we will offer courtyard equipment and fixtures that give discarded materials new value by utilizing scrap materials.
LIVE! SM is an experimental project that started in 2023 to convert still-life materials, such as scraps from local factories, into living things. In the first year, it produced an art monument. This time, it plans to produce a product as an advanced version.
The materials are assumed to be leather, metal, plastic and acrylic. As for the method of collecting scrap materials, we will collect materials from 91 companies participating in FactorISM, one of the largest community-integrated open factory events in the Kansai region, and at the same time propose an experience plan to invite people to “Factory” where the materials are used.
■ Challenge Content (Experience Plan)
It is not a common tourist resource, but rather a resource unique to the region. It is considered as “entertainment,” and they infiltrate manufacturing sites that are not normally open to the public. In particular, since many of the participating companies are BtoB companies, people are moved by the unseen world of manufacturing and develop programs that can only be experienced here. In 2025, we plan to recruit about 100 companies to participate in the project, so you can enjoy the monozukuri experience and monozukuri entertainment from different perspectives at each “Factory.”
