【Reflection】
In this program, twenty businesses participated in the EXPO
Messe "WASSE" (June 21 to June 29) and the Future
Life Experience (FLE) within the Future Life Village (June 24
to July 7), presenting and offering experiences of ten PHR
services across four area: diet, exercise, sleep, and living.
Through diverse content related to health, including
personalized health advice using 3D body scanners and VR games
whose specifications change according to daily health
activities, more than 10,000 participants and over 90,000
visitors had the valuable opportunity to experience PHR
services, showcasing a glimpse into "the near
future" of health.
According to the visitor survey (*), about 90% of the visitors
answered that they "did not know or had never heard
of" PHR before visiting. However, after experiencing the
PHR services, over 80% of the visitors gained a deeper
understanding of PHR, and about 90% became interested in PHR.
Visitors provided positive feedback such as, "I heard the
word PHR for the first time, but I understood it after the
explanation and became interested," along with many
expectations for the utilization and social implementation of
PHR, such as "I want to know more about the future of PHR
services" and "I hope it will be put to practical
use early and incorporated into daily life." From these
responses, we perceive that this program has been a highly
satisfactory initiative for both visitors and the organizers.
We believe that it is essential to continue disseminating
information through the web and other channels to promote
understanding of PHR.
(*) Visitor Survey: Conducted at the exit area of FLE, where
staff requested random visitors to cooperate with the survey.
The survey was conducted over three days from July 5 to July
7, with responses from 131 participants. (Respondent
composition: 6.1% in their teens, 13.1% in their twenties,
16.2% in their thirties, 23.1% in their forties, 27.7% in
their fifties, and 13.8% aged sixty and above)
【Post EXPO Initiatives】
As our country faces challenges such as a declining birthrate,
aging population, and decreasing population, the importance of
prevention and health promotion utilizing PHR is increasing.
There are high expectations for extending healthy life
expectancy and combating pre-disease conditions. Based on the
issues identified and valuable feedback received regarding PHR
services through this program, we will accelerate the social
implementation of PHR services in lifestyle domains such as
diet, exercise, sleep, and living.
Furthermore, considering the increasing number of people
requiring support and nursing care in our country,
strengthening preventive approaches before reaching the stage
of requiring support or nursing care is an urgent issue. In
this context, there is a need to rapidly develop and implement
new services that contribute to caregiving prevention.
Utilizing PHR allows for the provision of optimized preventive
care services to individuals. Additionally, by leveraging
advanced technology, there is an expectation for the
efficiency of the service development and social
implementation processes, and the creation of effective
services. Considering this situation, we aim to promote the
use of PHR in the medical and caregiving fields, striving to
create use cases that enhance efficiency of operations and
improve service quality.
