In the new digital era, seamless telecommunication is more and
more important as the work directly contributes to the
development of other industries and the digital infrastructure
of our society. 6G will provide tools for the digitalization
and automation of the 2030’s society. It will also help in
fulfilling United Nations sustainable development goals.
Finland is a forerunner and a leader in mobile communications
development since the GSM was launched decades ago and one of
the digitally most advanced countries in the world. Did you
know Finland has 5G network available everywhere in the
country? World-wide, countries are investing heavily into new
technologies. Japan is doing so with its Society 5.0 program,
which focuses on areas such as high-speed data networks,
efficient use of data, IoT, and AI. These will help to address
challenges related to production efficiency, infrastructure,
and logistics, for example.
The Digital Transformation in 5G/6G era – Key to a Resilient
and Sustainable Future event combines a long-term strategic
foresight work with here-and-now solutions and tools for
companies looking for new innovations and new markets.
The programme includes a panel of experts from different
Finnish companies showcasing interesting stories and
developments into the new era of connectivity. Join us to hear
more!

Expo Studio session offered a great platform to demonstrate
Finnish expertise in the areas of AI, 6G, quantum technologies
and digital resilience, and how these help us to build
together a smarter and better future for the people &
planet
The Expo Studio session provided us touchpoints with the
larger audience of the Osaka World Expo and beyond, to share
our insights and different viewpoints to engage for
collaboration and drive innovation that benefits societies
around the worldExpo Studio technicalities and staff were
highly professional, everything worked very smoothly from the
initial briefing till the distribution of the video

【Post EXPO Initiatives】
We look forward to collaboration between Japan and Finland.
The day opened many doors. We had an event at the Nordic
pavilion first, Studio in the evening time. The combination
was nice and we believe that the day will carry to successful
R&D iniatives and collaborations in the future.
We plan to use the recording in our programme later on so we
are grateful for it to be shared as soon as possible.
