Reports
【Reflection】
This programme centred on the Dubai Expo and Expo 2025 Osaka
Kansai, presenting a comprehensive overview of sustainable
urban development, future city concepts, and the legacy that
Expos create through expert talks and discussions. Notably,
the practical examples from Dubai—such as urban growth
management, infrastructure development, and the integration of
environmental technologies—left a strong impression on viewers
as valuable insights for future city planning.
The video successfully conveyed that Expos are more than mere
exhibitions; they serve as platforms for international
cooperation and co-creation, fostering sustainable legacies
for future generations. By emphasising intercity collaboration
and cultural diversity, it heightened anticipation for Expo
2025 Osaka Kansai and contributed positively to visitor
engagement.
Drawing lessons from Dubai’s success, the programme clearly
demonstrated the enhancement of city branding, tourism
promotion, and the broad economic and social ripple effects of
hosting an Expo. This has enabled a wide audience to
appreciate the significance of Expos anew. While the content
was well received, there remains potential to incorporate an
even broader range of perspectives to foster wider resonance
in future communications.
【Post EXPO Initiatives】
Moving forward, we intend to leverage this video as a
foundation for deepening dialogue among domestic and
international stakeholders and citizens interested in urban
development and sustainable societal progress. In particular,
we are considering hosting symposia, panel discussions, and
collaborative educational programmes with academic
institutions to share the knowledge and legacy that Expos
bring.
Furthermore, by drawing on the advanced initiatives at Expo
City Dubai, we reaffirm the importance of promoting smart and
environmentally considerate urban development in the aftermath
of Expo 2025 Osaka Kansai. We also aim to contribute to the
formation of international urban networks that leverage the
Expo as a catalyst for cooperation.
The video will also be utilised as an educational resource
targeting younger generations, with the goal of inspiring
interest in global issues and future societies. We look
forward to this programme playing a meaningful role in
facilitating dialogue and collaboration towards realising the
“Designing Future Society for Our Lives” vision that Expo 2025
Osaka Kansai strives to achieve.
