This is a collaborative art workshop where participants will
add their own colors to a line-art illustration themed around
“a future city in 2050 that enhances life”, creating one
large, shared artwork.
The line-art is created using digital technology, based on a
wide range of ideas collected about future cities.
Using sustainable materials, you’ll color the illustration
together and envision an exciting future through art.
Everyone is welcome — from children to adults — to join and
enjoy this creative experience.
※ The workshop takes approximately 10 minutes per session.

【Reflection】
In addition to September 19, this workshop was also held at
the Jellyfish Pavilion on September 12 and 13. In total, it
was conducted 47 times, with 476 participants joining us.
The line art used in the workshop was created by AI based on
435 ideas for “Cities of the Future in 2050,” which were
publicly collected in advance through “ハロみん,” an open
community operated by Hitachi Solutions, Ltd. as well as via
social media.
As a result, eight pieces of the Art of Life representing the
four seasons—spring, summer, autumn, and winter—were
completed, each infused with the thoughts and hopes of many
people, including those who participated on the day of the
event.
Through the workshop, we were delighted to see participants of
all ages—adults and children alike—coloring the large canvas
with sparkling eyes. We believe that we were able to embody
the theme of the Osaka-Kansai Expo: “Designing Future Society
for Our Lives.” Moreover,
the process of everyone coming together to boldly yet
carefully complete a single artwork while imagining their own
“future city” became a journey in search of a “playful and
hopeful inclusive future of co-creation.”
We were able to help children discover not only the simple joy
of coloring, but also the joy of “creating together with
others” and “imagining future cities.”
Adults shared comments such as “It felt like reconnecting with
my inner child” and “I’m excited to see the final result,”
which made it clear that people of all ages truly enjoyed the
experience.
【Post EXPO Initiatives】
The eight completed art pieces are currently on display at the
entrance of Hitachi Solutions headquarters and inside its
office buildings. A report and video from the workshop will be
released gradually starting in early November—please check
them out from the link below:

Hitachi Solutions is promoting Sustainability Transformation
(SX) through co-creation with diverse stakeholders and digital
transformation (DX), aiming to realize a sustainable
society.
This workshop, along with the “ハロみん” community, truly
embodies our vision of “Creating an exciting future through
co-creation.” Inspired by the passion of Producer Sachiko
Nakajima and her commitment to generating value by engaging
companies, public institutions, educational organizations, and
local communities around the world, Hitachi Solutions decided
to support this initiative as one of the partners.
Through the “ハロみん” community, we look forward to
connecting openly with even more people and co-creating an
exciting future together, just like we did at the Jellyfish
Pavilion.
We believe this workshop will serve as a catalyst for thinking
about SX and continue to be a source of hope. Moving forward,
the entire Jellyfish team, together with Hitachi Solutions,
will continue to value co-creation and work as one to realize
Sustainability Transformation.
