Programme details
This exhibition is one of the world’s largest comprehensive materials exhibitions and international conferences. The exhibition aims to solve global issues such as the marine plastics problem, decarbonisation, and resource recycling and attracts a wide range of stakeholders from all over the world who are looking for materials technology. The international conference will host many seminars and panel discussions on diverse themes such as policy and technological innovation. This is a very unique event in the world, where solutions to the future of the planet and biodiversity are sought from the perspective of ‘materials’.

【Reflection】
From May 14 (Wed) to 16 (Fri), 2025, the 5th Sustainable
Materials Exhibition was held at Intex Osaka (within High
Performance Materials Week).
The exhibition featured 386 participating companies,
showcasing cutting-edge material technologies such as
environmentally friendly materials and recycling technologies
that support a sustainable future. A total of 36,013 visitors
from around the world attended, utilizing the event as a
platform for information gathering, comparison and evaluation,
and business matching with participating companies to explore
opportunities for adoption and collaboration.
During the event, a total of 120 lectures were held, including
seminars and panel discussions, covering diverse themes such
as policy, technological innovation, and biodiversity. This
unique event, which examines the future of the Earth from the
perspective of materials, is unparalleled worldwide.
Additionally, networking sessions were held between exhibitors
and attendees, fostering active exchange of opinions and
information sharing. These sessions provided valuable
opportunities for participants to build new connections and
gain new insights.
【Post EXPO Initiatives】
The next Sustainable Materials Exhibition is scheduled to be
held at Intex Osaka from Wednesday, May 13 to Friday, May 15,
2026.
This exhibition is the world's largest comprehensive
materials exhibition and international conference aimed at
addressing global challenges such as marine plastic pollution,
decarbonization, and resource circulation. It brings together
professionals from around the world seeking advanced material
technologies, with numerous seminars and panel discussions
focused on policy and technological innovation.
In the next edition, we will continue to introduce the cutting
edge of material technology through the latest products,
services, and advanced case studies, while creating a platform
for connections between people, products, and information. We
will also strive to design exhibits that allow visitors to
visualize the practical applications of products and services
through hands-on experiences.
Going forward, this exhibition will continue to serve as a
catalyst for the development of the materials industry,
walking alongside all of you in this journey.
